GenerLink won't work with an A Base Meter

The older style A base meters will not accommodate the GenerLink even with the S base adaptor due to the lack of a grounding location or internal path to the grounding area. 

Do not let  your electrician drill holes in the sides of the A base to sneak the wire out side the upper meter section and back to the lower section.

The only other option is to get a newer base meter installed which Generator Solutions can do for an additional cost.  If you do so desire a new meter base to be installed with the Generlink please note that on the GenerLink Request Install page.
